October & November GlossyBox

Sorry I have been MIA lately...October was an eventful month as it was my 22nd birthday (5 days of shopping, karaoke-ing, eating etc), halloween, a good friend's wedding etc...So busy that I had no time to update my blog. Anyway, I can't believe it is going to be December soon...is anyone excited for Christmas?? I'm not really in the Christmas spirit yet...I've just been stressing and thinking a lot that last thing on my mind is Christmas...Have you got a Christmas wishlist??

Anyway...Here is what I did to my nails for my good friend's wedding.
Here is October's GlossyBox...
1. Dermalogica Age Smart MultiVitamin Thermafoliant (RRP £40.50)

2. Dermalogica Age Smart MultiVitamin Power Recover Masque (RRP £33)

3. Leighton Denny Expert Nails Colour & Care in Baby Doll (RRP £11)

4. Stila Smudge Stick Waterproof Eyeliner (RRP £13)

5. Robert Piguet Eau de Parfums (RRP £65)

*6 Month Thank You Gift* Dermalogica Age Smart Renewal Lip Complex (RRP £22.50)
I really enjoyed the Thank You Gift from October's GlossyBox, the Dermalogica Age Smart Renewal Lip Complex was very moisturising as I suffer from dry lips and it kept my lips peel-free. Definitely something I need to have for the winter. I also really liked the Leighton Denny's Expert Nails Colour & Care in Baby Doll. As you know light colours may take a few coats to apply onto the nails. However, this is not the case. One coat gives you a more subtle/natural look and two coats is perfect!
Now for November's GlossyBox...
1. Arbonne FC5 Cooling Foot Creme (RRP £19)

2. Dead Sea Spa Magik Dead Sea Bath Salts (RRP £5.50)

3. Monu Skin Perfector (RRP £16.25)

4. Nail Rock Designer Nail Wraps in Leopard (RRP £6.65)

5. Serge Lutens L'Eau Serge Lutens & Vitriol d'Oeillet fragrances (RRP £86/100ml)
Here is what I did to my nails with the leopard Nail Rock's...
I love how GlossyBox are listening to their customers - the card that comes with the box have definitely improved - the details like pricing, website to buy the full size product etc. You can also get 200 GlossyDots for every referred friend and you get a free GlossyBox after referring to 5 friends! Not only that, they also have a GlossyBox for Men. So it's good for those who like to pamper their partners/dad/friend etc! Definitely check out GlossyBox if you already haven't - http://www.glossybox.co.uk/

Anyway, hope you are all well!

September GlossyBox

It's the time of month again where I receive my GlossyBox with full of surprises :) I do feel, however, that this month is a tad late even though I subscribed since July - So you would think that I would receive the box earlier compare to people who subscribe later than me. Not only that, the boxes now charge an extra £2.95 for postage & packaging, but I do still think it's worth the price.

To cut to the chase, this month, I received...

1. Dead Sea Spa Magik Salt Brushing (2x Samples - RRP £12)

2. Green People Fruitful Nights (Sample - RRP £14.95)

3. HD Brows Eye&Brow Palette in Vamp (RRP £19.95)

4. Neal and Wolf GLOW Super Shine Spray (RRP £11.95)

5. Plum by Mary Greenwell Eau de Parfum (Sample - RRP £60)

I am definitely really excited to try out the HD Brows Eye&Brow Palette, I have heard a lot of positive reviews about the company. If you haven't heard of HD Brows then definitely check out their website http://www.hd-brows.co.uk/

Hope you are all well and let me know if you have received your GlossyBox this month and let me know how you are finding the products. Take Care!

Broken Compact :( ...Solution?

I absolutely adore MAC's Mineralize Skinfinish in Candlelight but when you drop it, it really puts you off using it again...especially when you can't get hold of another back up of it!! But sometimes when you break things, there could be a solution, let me tell you how...
The main ingredient you will need is Surgical Spirit (Rubbing Alcohol). I got mine from Boots 500ml for £4.45.
Now, because mine was pretty much damaged, I had to use something (dotting tool) to crush it into pieces.

Then...*forgets to take a picture* for easier control, I used a dropper to soak the damaged pieces to make it form into a paste.
Then simply, use (I used cotton pad) paper/cardboard/spoon anything that pretty much covers the compact and pressed firmly until you get a smooth surface.
And voila! Good as new...just got to let it air-dry for a few hours and it's use-able again. EASY!!

This method works for anything that is powder (blusher, eye shadow etc)

2nd Year Anniversary

It was me and my boyfriend's second year anniversary on 10th September, so we decided to go for a meal (somewhere we never been) and go shopping afterwards :) which always works out well and we get to spend quality time with each other. We decided to go to a place called The Grill - New York Street in Manchester.
Strawberry Iced Tea & Martini
Oven Baked Camembert
Garlic King Prawns
Ribeye Steak & Butter Mashed Potatoes with Peppercorn Sauce
Chocolate Fondant

The atmosphere and service was great - the staff are friendly and helpful. The food was exceptionally good as well, definitely on the pricey side but now and again for a treat goes down well :)

Now...my mini haul :D
YvesSaintLaurent Rouge Volupte - 01 Nude Beige (RRP £22) | BareMinerals Quick Change Brush Cleaner (RRP £10) | Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector 01 Rose Shimmer & 02 Apricot Shimmer (RRP £15 each)
MAC 226 Small Tapered Blending Brush (RRP £19) | MAC 214 Short Shader Brush (RRP £18.50) | MAC 211 Pointed Liner Brush (RRP £16)

London

So me and my two friends went to London today to visit. We got the coach at 6:30am so we would arrive there at 11am. When we finally got to London, we first headed to Camden Town since we have never been there before. Camden Town has 6 markets filled with stalls, shops, bars and restaurants. It was definitely a eye-opener for me since we don't have anything like that in Manchester. It was a 100% thumbs up for me despite the dreadful weather even though it did clear up in the end.
Unfortunately I didn't take much pictures on the day as I was experiencing the London-life and absorbing the culture. Anyway I did manage to go to Forever21 in Oxford Street, I have been to the Birmingham's Bull Ring before. My verdict? Well the store in Oxford Street does not compare to the one in Bull Ring. I remember when I first went to the Bull Ring one and not knowing where to start, where to look at whereas the one in Oxford Street seems smaller and not much choices compared to the Bull Ring. But either way, I still love Forever21...& London!!! <3

imomoko Package

I've been quite ill this week, but the only thing that cheered me up is that my imomoko package arrived the other day! For people who doesn't know what imomoko is...it is a company that specialises in Japanese & Korean beauty and skincare products. I used to order from Sasa but when it arrived, it charged me Custom tax :( so then after, I ordered from Imomoko...it's affordable, reliable and quite fast delivery considering it's overseas (9 Days) - also well packaged! I do order from ebay as well only if it is cheaper or that I can't get the product from imomoko.

My Beauty Diary Masks in Chocolate Truffle, Aloe & Bird's Nest | Face Q - Ocean & Aloe Mask | Simply SexyLook Super Moisturising 3D Duo Lifting with Aloe Vera & Q10 | Simply SexyLook Duo Lifting with Yogurt extract & Berry essence

Ishizawa Labs Mangosteen Brightening Peeling Gel | Shu Uemura Eyelash Curlers | Laneige Water Sleeping Pack Ex | Vess Wave Face Roller | Noble Cosme Facial Wrapping Mask | Juju Aquamoist Hyaluronic Acid Essence

As you can tell, I LOVE Asian beauty masks!! nothing compares to it!
Let me know which ones you like and recommend!

August GlossyBox

Hello!! :)

How are you all today? I was super happy this week when I got an e-mail from GlossyBox saying that this month's box has been despatched! Anyway, the postman delivered the box yesterday and I was so excited to open it!!

The packaging - again, like last month's box is well packaged ensuring that each product is damage-free. Here is the postcard that is inside the box saying what I have received this month...

1. Murad Time Release Blemish Cleanser (Sample - RRP £29)

2. Ahava Mineral Body Lotion (Sample - RRP £22)

3. Daniel Sandler Jumbo Jet Mascara (Full Size - RRP £14.85)

4. KMS California Hairstay Style Boost (Full Size - RRP £13.40)

5. Rebel Nails Nail Wraps (RRP Prices from £5.99)

And the actual products :)

Not as impressive compared to last month's box. However, out of the five products, I'm really excited to try the KMS California Hairstay Style Boost Primer, this is the first time I heard of a hair product that is a primer. The description says it enhances natural mmovement and bounce while boosting the performance of styling products. Interesting right??

Anyway the second product I been wanting to try for ages is the Rebel Nails nails wrap - something that is similar to Minx Nails. Even though I wanted a patterned one just because I'm too lazy to do all the nails and it looks better on the ring finger. But I guess it doesn't matter.

On another note, been randomly messing with make up this week, here is 2 different looks :)

For this look I watched one of the latest videos by MakeUpGeekTV on youtube where she recreated 3 different looks with the Urban Decay's Naked palette. I really enjoyed one of the looks so I tried it for myself on the eyes. It's a smokey eye look where it doesn't look too heavy and it also looks really flattering on any shape of eyes.

And this second look is a Park Bom inspired look that I just recreated.

Also this week, randomly stopped by Tesco's and saw this in the Krispy Kreme's stall, so I definitely wanted to try. I believe it was £8.95 for this chocolate collection.

Looks adorably deliciously right?

Personally, I don't think it was as tasty as it looked. The price is slightly over-priced in my opinion. I don't think I would purchase this again. The doughnuts are definately way better!!

Have a great weekend all!!
